Our friends at Quail Lodge Golf Club and Rancho Canada Golf Club take us for a tour across the beautiful golf courses in the Carmel Valley.  This video has a great audio groove that captures the vibrant afternoon sunshine and a day at the golf course.  Towards the end of this short video we visit Cypress Point Golf Course, Monterey Peninsula Dunes Golf Course, and finally Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Links.   read more...

Point Lobos State Reserve Video Tour

Kentyn Reynolds - Wednesday, November 30, 2011

Point Lobos State Reserve video tour is now on YouTube.  You can come to Carmel for many reasons... food, dog friendly beaches, shopping, music, or any one of a hundred reasons... or you can just come for Point Lobos State Reserve.   I honestly believe it is the most spectacular stretch of coast in the world.  Many come for the unique flora and fauna of the reserve, but there is one hidden treasure that you need to know about... "the trails".   Someday I want to meet the park service personnel who are responsible for designing these beautiful trails, as they create a perfect stage for exploring this fairyland.  When you come to Point Lobos take some extra time and slowly wander this exotic coastline.   read more...

Pet Friendly Carmel By The Sea

Bob Buescher - Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Pet Friendly Carmel By the Sea video tour is now on YouTube.  I live in an area where the beaches are closed to dogs, or if you go far enough you can find a beach where dogs can be on a leash.  Not in Carmel!   Carmel invites your dog to come play on the beach, run, jump, splash, and bring the beach sand home to your perfectly clean house.   This video celebrates the joy of dogs and the beach... and for a moment it covers the beauty of Carmel at night.    read more...

Good Value In Carmel

Bob Buescher - Thursday, November 10, 2011

This hotel offers beautiful, clean, and comfortable accommodations in a great location for a fair price. We had to awake at the crack of dawn so we did not get to try the breakfast. Will do so next time. I would certainly call here first next time I'm in the area.  read more...

Point Lobos right next to the Inn

Kentyn Reynolds - Wednesday, August 24, 2011

I am not sure that words are sufficient to describe the beauty of Point Lobos State Reserve.  You may tour the park by car, but until you walk the coastal trails you don't see the true beauty of this park.  I have to thank someone in the park service for designing trails that resemble imagery from a movie set or from a dream.  The photo below was shot right on the point of the Cypress Grove trail.  read more...

Exactly What We Needed

Bob Buescher - Saturday, July 02, 2011

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2011 NEW
We've stayed in the Monterey/Carmel area several times before. We've had vacation rentals and stayed at small hotels on Monterey's hotel row. This time we opted to stayed for three nights at the Carmel Mission Inn. The location is very central to everything. We wanted to explore Carmel Valley a little more this time and the hotel location is perfect for that. read more...
