We stayed at the Carmel Mission Inn Thanksgiving night through the weekend for a wedding. Upon check in we had to provide the ID for the person who's card held the room even though that wasn't the card that we were paying for the stay with. It wasn't a problem as we were both there however I've never been asked for this before and would have been quite put out had someone reserved the room and not been with us at check in.
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and well appointed, it even offered bathrobes. The grounds are overflowing with beautiful flowers which gives it a wonderful feel, not like a cookie cutter hotel. The pool was nice and there was a lovely fire pit in the courtyard that provided a nice place to gather and stay warm once the sun went down. Right off Hwy 1 and 5 mins into downtown Carmel and the beach. I slept well and would gladly go back. For the price you can't beat this in Carmel.
