The 24th Annual Winemakers’ Celebration returns to picturesque Carmel-by-the-Sea on May 7, 2016. Celebrating the wines and winemakers of Monterey County’s world class growing region, the event will display over 100 incredible wines as Dolores Street (between Ocean & 7th) is transformed into an atmosphere reminiscent of a European village street festival.
Pebble Beach Food & Wine returns to the iconic strip of the California coastline and Pebble Beach Resorts for the tenth year. Continuing its reign as the premier food and wine event in the world, guests can expect an unprecedented lineup of more than 100 renowned chefs and 250 distinguished winemakers at this first-class, four-day celebration.
Christmas is coming and the streets of Carmel are decked out in holiday cheer. Carmel brings Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” to life with its cottage like buildings, winter trees with twinkling lights, miles of garland and big red bows tied around bountiful wreaths. I for one cannot help but feel warm inside during this time of year and Carmel, CA brings the complete Christmas package, minus the snow, to our small slice of heaven on California’s Central Coast.
This year’s Barnyard Food and Wine Celebration was another fun-filled event complete with live music by Victory Lane, a special performance by Delaney Ann, dozens of local wines, and mouth watering cuisine prepared by various local Barnyard restaurants. The proceeds generated from the event benefited the Carmel Valley Rotary Foundation.

The 29th Presentation of the Big Sur International Marathon takes place Sunday, April 27, 2014. Thousands of runners from all 50 states and 25 countries will gather that weekend to take part in any of six races along California’s scenic Highway 1. Though the marathon sold out in record time, spots are still available for the marathon relay, the 5K and the 9-Miler, a beautiful route that takes runners and walkers into Pt. Lobos State Reserve. Roll out the holly; bring out the tree, and string up the lights! It’s time to celebrate the holiday season in Carmel! Come to the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Junipero Street and join the denizens of Carmel-by-the- Sea at its annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Friday, December 7, 2012. Festivities start at 3:30pm and include a theatrical reading of “’Twas the Night before Christmas,” performances from local school choirs, appearances by Carmel city luminaries, and of course, the big man himself, Santa Clause. Sip on hot chocolate and munch on treats provided by the Red Cross while watching Carmel’s mayor, Jason Burnett, turn the lights on the grand tree.
The Barnyard Harvest festival held in Carmel, CA was an afternoon full of music and Halloween fun. Local Barnyard merchants opened up their shops and gave candy to kids in colorful costumes, while local Monterey band played some of the greatest Halloween hits. This year’s festival proceeds went to benefit MEarth, an organization that helps teach children about environmental stewardship. The Carmel Mission Inn invites everyone to celebrate autumn by watching our video of the 2012 Barnyard Harvest Festival.
