What: The final event of the 2017 major event season will again be the Pirelli World Challenge season finale, set for Oct. 12-15. Nearly 20 manufacturers will compete in eight Grand Touring (GT) and Touring Car (TC) classes in a sprint-race format.

The Monterey Jazz Festival, the longest continuously-running annual jazz event in the world, began in 1958 with San Francisco jazz radio broadcaster Jimmy Lyons as its founder. 38,000+ fans are expected to attend the 59th edition of the two-day and three-night celebration that takes place September 15-17, 2017. The Festival features over 500 artists performing on eight stages spread over the 20-acre Monterey County Fair and Event Center in Monterey, California.
A tradition going back over half a century, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is where the world’s collector cars meet and compete. Only the 200 best collector cars in the world roll onto the legendary 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links, and only a handful of those will receive official recognition for style, technical merit and historical accuracy.

Christmas is coming and the streets of Carmel are decked out in holiday cheer. Carmel brings Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” to life with its cottage like buildings, winter trees with twinkling lights, miles of garland and big red bows tied around bountiful wreaths. I for one cannot help but feel warm inside during this time of year and Carmel, CA brings the complete Christmas package, minus the snow, to our small slice of heaven on California’s Central Coast.

The 29th Presentation of the Big Sur International Marathon takes place Sunday, April 27, 2014. Thousands of runners from all 50 states and 25 countries will gather that weekend to take part in any of six races along California’s scenic Highway 1. Though the marathon sold out in record time, spots are still available for the marathon relay, the 5K and the 9-Miler, a beautiful route that takes runners and walkers into Pt. Lobos State Reserve. Journey to a world of undersea magicians, masters of disguise and quick-change artists when Monterey Bay Aquarium opens its newest special exhibition, “Tentacles: The Astounding Lives of Octopuses, Squid and Cuttlefishes”, on April 12.“Tentacles” is just one of many special activities and events planned in 2014, when the acclaimed aquarium celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Monterey’s annual Wag N’ Walk- a-thon was a wonderful way to bing the community together to enjoy a scenic walk along the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreational Trail with everyone’s beloved pet. The event is held by the Monterey County SPCA to help raise funds and awareness for animals in need.
