Carmel Mission also known as (San Carlos Borroméo de Carmelo Mission) is one of the Monterey Peninsula’s most treasured landmarks and is one of the oldest Spanish Missions in California. It was founded in 1771 by Father Junipero Serra who is buried on the site, and is still an active Roman Catholic Church to this day.

The Cavaliers of the West held their annual winter dog show this year at Carmel Mission Inn! There were prizes to be won, an enthralling silent auction, and many, many cute dogs. All of the proceeds from this event benefit CavalierRescueUSA, which is dedicated to finding forever homes for needy Cavaliers.

The Carmel Mission Inn hosted this year’s Oldies but Goodies Rock N’ Roll Party which was held to benefit Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. The goal of Peace of Mind is to find loving homes for dogs whose guardians can no longer care for them and for senior dogs in shelters. The event was held in order to raise funds for Peace of Mind so that the organization can continue its dog rescue efforts.
This year’s Barnyard Food and Wine Celebration was another fun-filled event complete with live music by Victory Lane, a special performance by Delaney Ann, dozens of local wines, and mouth watering cuisine prepared by various local Barnyard restaurants. The proceeds generated from the event benefited the Carmel Valley Rotary Foundation.
