Del Monte Golf Course
(831) 373-2700
Opened in 1897, Del Monte Golf Course is the oldest course in continuous operation west of the Mississippi. Designed by golf and polo enthusiast Charles Maud, this inland course boasts a meandering layout that has challenged golfers for more than a century.

It was the original host of the California State Amateur, still played on Del Monte's narrow, tree-lined fairways and small, well-protected greens, and continues to serve as one of three courses on which the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational is played.

Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Links
(831) 648-5777
Pacific Grove Golf Links offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Lovers Point, Point Pinos, Crespi Pond, and Asilomar's natural sand dunes. Originally designed by Chandler Egan in 1932, the first nine holes take you through the forested areas of Pacific Grove. Egan's nine takes you through an inland terrain and reflects much of the charm of an English rural course done in the old style. The back nine was designed by Jack Neville, original designer of the Pebble Beach Golf Links.

The holes are unpretentious, reminiscent of an era when the 'par fours' were sometimes less than 300 yards and the 'par threes' could be contemplated by the common folk. There are not many bunkers, and the greens are small.

It was recently ranked by Zagat Survey as one of America's Best Golf Courses. The 18-hole golf course features a restaurant as well as golf pro shop.

Monterey Pines Golf Course
(831) 656-1000
The 18-hole "Monterey Pines" course at the Monterey Pines golf Course facility in Monterey, California features 5,629 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 69. The course rating is 66.9 and it has a slope rating of 114 on Blue grass.  Designed by Robert Muir Graves, the Monterey Pines golf course opened in 1962. Navy Golf Program manages this facility, with Sam Jepsen as the Head Golf Professional.

Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Courses
(831) 899-7271
Named after the Army's 7th Infantry Division - the first major unit to occupy Fort Ord, as well as the last. The famed Light Fighters (nicknamed the "Bayonet Division") marched for the last time during inactivation ceremonies in 1993 as part of the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC).

With over 7,094 yards of oak and cypress-lined fairways, Bayonet Golf Course was designed in 1954 by General Robert McClure, the Commanding Officer of the post at that time. McClure, a left-handed golfer with a severe slice, designed the course to fit his game. This is evidenced by holes #11-15, a series of sharp doglegs, widely known as "Combat Corner," interrupted only by a 215-yard uphill par 3. Notoriously known for it’s magnificently manicured, long, and narrow fairways, Bayonet is one tough, but rewarding 18-hole adventure. With four sets of tees, the course is a par 72, with a slope of 138 and a rating of 75.3.
