A visit to the Monterey Bay would not be complete without visiting Point Lobos State Park. Point Lobos is located on Big Sur Highway 1 just south of Carmel Ca. Called the crown jewel of the California Park System Point Lobos provides a fabulous spot for hiking, picnicking, bird watching as well as artistic adventures including painting or photography. The ocean surrounding Point Lobos is home to sea lions, harbor seals, elephant seals, sea otters and whaling watching takes place on a year round basis.
