Where you will find information that will enhance your overall experience in Carmel California.
Christmas is coming and the streets of Carmel are decked out in holiday cheer. Carmel brings Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” to life with its cottage like buildings, winter trees with twinkling lights, miles of garland and big red bows tied around bountiful wreaths. I for one cannot help but feel warm inside during this time of year and Carmel, CA brings the complete Christmas package, minus the snow, to our small slice of heaven on California’s Central Coast.
It is all about family at Christmas time and Carmel embraces family fun with its holiday traditions. The annual tree lighting ceremony at the Sunset Center is a great way to kick off the Christmas season. This year the Tree Lighting will take place on December 5th at 4:30pm.
We cannot forget about the “Christmas at the Inns” tour this year. They are some of the best little country inns on the central coast, and Christmas is their time to shine. Enjoy the tour as you take a step into a Victorian painting while visiting multiple bed and breakfasts in their Christmas glory with entertainment and refreshments.
All around town there are celebrations and we cannot forget our water lovers with the lighted boat parade sailing through the Monterey Bay, bringing Christmas lights to a whole new level with a visual display for all those to enjoy.
Carmel Valley has the secret connections with the big man himself so he makes a pit stop during his busy trip to helicopter himself in for a quick visit with the little ones before he heads back to continue bringing joy to the world. Santa will be here on December 13th at 10:30 so come early to get a good seat.
